The common rooms of the house are beautifully appointed with a Northwest feel and designed to encourage guests to come together to relax, prepare meals and share their stories in a community of support and common understanding.

| The formal living room has comfortable seating for conversation or relaxing with a book. Our library is available for the use of all guests. We also have a special area set aside where little ones can have tea parties with stuffed friends or older children can play with the Playstation 2. A crafting table sits under a sunny window and families are encouraged to contribute a page to our family scrapbook. |

The dining room typically seats up to 30, with large round tables that invite conversation. When the occasion demands we are able to arrange the room to accommodate even more folks, such as our first Thanksgiving, when over 50 people came together to celebrate. |

The Fisher House kitchen is the most jaw dropping room in the house with its granite counter tops, bank of Sub-Zero refrigerators, four ovens and two sets each of cook tops and microwave ovens.
|
The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, implements and dishes. We also provide basic pantry items as well as some canned and frozen goods. The kitchen is the heart of the home, where guests can often be found chatting over coffee, cooking together and sharing the stories of their day. |

The cozy family room is just south of kitchen and has a big screen TV, DVD player and both xBox & Wii game systems. Guests can enjoy our collection of DVDs and videos (which they are also welcome to take to their rooms for private viewing).

 |
The family room leads out to our beautiful patio where guests can relax on sunny days.

To the east of the patio guests can enjoy Marianne's Garden, which provides organic herbs and vegetables or walk farther in for a time of quiet in our Healing Garden.

In times of stress and uncertainty the everyday tasks of cooking, baking or doing a load of laundry lend some normalcy to one’s day.
|
Our laundry room is conveniently located off the kitchen and contains three sets of washers and dryers. We stock laundry supplies for the convenience of our guests. |

Knowing their loved ones are nearby gives the patient one less thing to worry about and the care givers are able to rest and recharge in a tranquil atmosphere, gathering strength from the understanding of others in similar situations.
|
Close proximity to the hospital allows family members to be near their loved ones at a crucial time, benefiting both patient and care giver. Guests are invited to make the Fisher House their home away from home. |
