On September 7, 2011 at 6 pm the students of the Hospitality Management Program at the International Air & Hospitality Academy (IAHA) in Vancouver, Washington are hosting
a benefit in support of the VA Puget Sound Fisher House. The masquerade themed event will include both silent and live auctions, as well as delicious food and a cash bar. The benefit goal is $10,000.00.
Tickets are $30 each and can be paid for with cash, check or credit card.
The evening event will be held in the Red Cross Building located at 605 East Barnes Street in Vancouver, Washington. The historic building, which is now part of the campus of the IAHA, is a fitting venue for this event. Having once served as housing for military service members, it is an appropriate site for celebrating the current work of VA Puget Sound Fisher House as a "home away from home" for Veteran and military families.
The students are currently in the process of procuring auction items. To help with procurement, inquire about tickets or offer other support you can learn more on
Facebook and Twitter. To contribute on line go to the Team Fisher House event link.
If you live in the Vancouver-Portland area please consider attending and giving your support to the VA Puget Sound Fisher House on September 7th!
Each year the graduating class of the program is responsible for selecting a charity and putting on a fundraising event. VA Puget Sound Fisher House is honored to have been selected by the class of 2011.
