Fisher House Receives Support through
the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic

On July 14 15, 2007, a dedicated group of paralyzed veterans from the Spinal Cord Recovery Unit and Rehabilitation Care Services participated in the 28th annual Group Health Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic (the "STP"). This 200-mile bicycle ride is the largest multi-day bicycle event in the Northwest with 8,999 participating this year from Seattle to Portland in either one or two days. The 200-mile routes took riders through the scenic valleys, forests and farmlands of western Washington and Oregon. A total of $18,766.00 was raised by the Fisher House team. Way to go!!

Seattle Seahawks Touch Down City, Game Day Activities

Puget Sound Fisher House exhibit at the Seahawks visitor's hallFor the second year in a row, the Seahawks Military Appreciation Game Day was a terrific success. The new display booth, brochure and print product materials were great and we once again handed out over 1500 brochures in the Touch Down City Exhibition Hall. Coach Holmgren's public service announcement was shown prior to the start of the game which was extremely well received from the fans and players of both teams.

You can help
In 2005, more than 20 newly returning soldiers and their families would have benefited from a Seattle Fisher House due to the nature of their injuries and the length of their hospital stays.
