Since opening on September 10, 2008, the VA Puget Sound Fisher House has been privileged to serve over
2,400 families of Veterans and active duty military personnel.
Our 20 guest suites provide a “home away from home” for families of Veterans receiving care at VA Puget Sound Health Care System and families of active duty personnel who have loved ones in other area facilities. Guests are able to be near their loved ones while having a comfortable, peaceful place to find rest and support for themselves. More than a convenient and beautiful place to stay, the guests of Fisher House share common experiences, form friendships and become a unique kind of family, a Fisher House family.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the VA Puget Sound Fisher House, the families we serve and learn how you can become involved with this unique program.
On January 16, Martin Luther King Day, we were honored to have volunteers come to the House through the United Way Day of Caring project.. Members of from the UW chapter of Repair the World helped organize our rampantly out of control video collection and prepared a delicious dinner for the families. They were ably assisted by Senator Patty Murray, her husband Bob and members of her staff. It was an honor to have these volunteers support the mission of VA Puget Sound Fisher House. See the album on our Shutterfly site.
